  • Brax Easterwood is a Texas licensed architect bringing over 19 years of experience in construction, architecture, and urban planning to the team. He has been involved in all phases of project types with focuses on sustainability and community benefit. His experience includes years of institutional, commercial, and residential work providing clients with analysis, site planning, new building design, renovation and space planning. 

    Before pursuing architecture, Brax worked in the construction industry for 7 years on residential and light commercial projects.  Studying architecture felt like the logical next step, and Brax received his master in architecture from the University of Tennessee in 2002, where he was also the recipient of the AIA Henry Adams Medal and Certificate.  After graduating, he spent nearly five years working with two well-respected firms in Houston before giving into the call of the salty air and cooler breezes of Galveston.

    In 2006 Brax began work as a city planner for the City of Galveston, gaining invaluable experience in both public process and coordinating Galveston clients’ needs with codes and agencies at the local, state and federal levels.  Following Hurricane Ike in 2009, Brax decided it was time to return to his building and design roots and form his own practice here on the island.

  • Studying at the University of Texas in San Antonio, Shelby graduated with her bachelor's degree in architecture in 2017. She studied abroad in Urbino, Italy for a semester and has volunteered for many Galveston organizations. 

    Shelby volunteered two years for the Galveston Historical Foundation and has given her experience in historic renovation and design. She joined the team in June of 2018 and has experience in architectural designing and planning.

  • Andrew brings long time experience as a Senior Project Manager, with planning, design, and management responsibilities. He is familiar with all phases of programming, design, and documentation with particular expertise in feasibility, building systems, construction, and code analysis. 

    He received his Master of Architecture degree from Rice University as well as his Master of Business Administration from the University of New Haven in 1992.  He has accumulated 19 years of experience working in Vermont, New York, and Galveston, Texas.

  • Genoveva graduated with her bachelor's degree in architecture in 2021 from the Fay Jones School of Architecture + Design at the University of Arkansas. She studied abroad in Rome, Italy for a semester and was a part of the National Organization of Minority Architecture Students (NOMAS).

     Genoveva worked two years for the School of Architecture’s Design Camp as a teaching assistant and mentor to younger students looking to learn more about the design professions through hands-on projects and tours. She joined the team in November of 2021.
